It is hard to believe that 2 weeks’ holiday has passed already.  I do hope you all had a lovely break, even if the weather did take a while to improve.  It is also hard to believe that we are in the last term of the academic year!

For those of you who are new to Phoenix Early Learners – we extend a very warm welcome.  We look forward to getting to know you all (if we don’t already).  Look out for the email invitation from Tapestry – it may go into your junk folder.  If you need any further information, please do ask.

In this update you’ll find details of our snack list and our newsletter with updates for the half term ahead.  The newsletter includes term dates and events you need to book for.

Our theme over this half term is Numbers and Shapes.  We start off the term with the number 1 and circles.  If the children would like to bring anything in to show that is circular in shape or if you would like to do a shape/number hunt at home to put on Tapestry, that would be great.  Or you can see how many circles or number 1s you see on your way to and from preschool.

In addition our older children will be planting seeds.  Our younger children are now split into 3 groups:
Group 1 – Children who started preschool in September 25, will be looking at prepositions;
Group 2 – Children who started preschool before Easter, will be playing a memory game;
Group 3 – Our new starters will be settling in and getting to know teachers and new friends.
We extend a very warm welcome to anyone who would like to join Southborough Lane Baptist Church for worship on Sunday morning at 10.30 am (there is a group called Paddlers for preschool children).  There are also other activities going on during the week and on some Sundays.  Do come and join Jo, Tom (our Pastor – do look out for him in the queue of parents) and myself – we would love to see you.
