Hello, My name is Hazel and I am the SENDCo at Phoenix Early Learners Pre-school.

I absolutely love working at Phoenix Early Learners, it’s wonderful to be part of such a fantastic team. I feel very passionately about working in Early Years as it is such an important time in a child’s life. I see my role as one of supporting all children to reach their potential, to develop a love for learning, to feel safe, secure and be happy and to promote their well-being.

A little bit about me personally….

I am a trained teacher with a BA Honours in Education and a specialism in Early Years

I have worked as an Early Years teacher for 22 years both in Nursery, Pre school and Reception and as an Early Years Leader in a school.

I have been a SENDCo for 5 and half years and I have a qualification as a Level 3 SENCo.

I have a Level 2 qualification in Makaton sign language, in Elklan Speech and Language, Forest School and BLAST (Boosting, Language, Auditory Skills and Talking)

I have two young children of my own, my son Carter is 6 and my daughter Isla is 3, we love to visit the beach, the farm, zoo and have lots of fun.

I love to cook and bake, I spend time in the garden, spend time with friends and family and enjoy yoga too!
