Dear Parents and Carers

We have experienced some variance in weather this week – we nearly got blown away on Wednesday and it felt as if we were somewhere tropical today. The children had great fun today with the guttering and water – some interesting experimentation going on and some great relationships forming,

We trialled toasted muffins today – as the bagels we usually have were unavailable. These were hugely popular so don’t worry if some lunch came home.

Thank you to everyone who has remembered to bring a hat – please can we name these, thank you. I have a feeling we will need sou’wester’s more next week, but it could all change.

The weather seems to have heard that we have a Bank Holiday weekend ahead. If you’ve lilttle to do on Monday do come along to the Petts Wood May Fayre, commencing at 11 am, and feed Pip the Phoenix who will be ravenous and also share your enthusiasm for PEL for potential customers. Many staff members will be present across the day.

So, having had Monday off, our week commences on Tuesday next week. As the week is shorter we will stall our project until the following week but we have plenty more going on – our older children will be doing some experimentation with sinking and floating, our interim group will be following instructions and our new starters will be displaying their knowledge of concepts such as big and small.

On Sunday our usual welcome is extended to anyone who would like to join us at Southborough LaneBaptist Church at 10.30 – we’d love to see you.

Whatever your are doing we hope you have a lovely weekend.
