Dear Parents and Carers
Well, we made it through another really hot week!  Clearly Pip has enjoyed it:

Next week will still be hot, but not as unbearable so normal hours will resume for everyone from Monday to Thursday.
With regard to our end of term performance – this will be held in Petts Wood Methodist Church sanctuary at 9.30 on Friday.  We will be honoured to have Gareth Bacon MP joining us for the occasion.  All children should arrive at Lakeswood Hall at 9am, regardless of whether they usually attend on a Friday.  Please can you let me know:
1)  If your child is not attending at all;
2) If you do not wish your child to stay for the party until 12 noon.  Snacks will be provided as usual.  There will be party games for the children to enjoy.  Whilst the party is going on we invite parents and carers to join us for refreshments directly opposite the sanctuary.  Following the end of our day you are all invited to:

If you require any further information, please message Lauren on the WhatsApp group.
On Thursday we said “farewell” to Sam:

Sam has been a fantastic staff member and we will all miss her greatly.  But we do want to wish her well in her new position where young children will continue to thrive with the same teaching skills, love and care she has shown to our children.  She is now taking a well-earned holiday.  And rest assured, she will always be a part of our Phoenix family – the staff will continue to meet together.
For those who are leaving us on Friday, please note that Tapestry Journals will be available from Monday 20th July (we don’t want to spoil any surprises).  You can only download onto a computer (as opposed to a mobile), but you also have the opportunity to purchase a professionally bound copy as a keepsake of the time your child has been at Phoenix.   https://support.tapestry.info/printed-journals/

And so we close a chapter in the life of Phoenix Early Learners – this will be my last update for the acadmic year 2025-26.  We wish all our leavers a very happy move onto their respective primary and early years settings and very much hope that you will keep in touch and a tremendous THANK YOU for the support you have given to us since the end of 2025 and for believing in us – we couldn’t have done it without you all.  God bless you all.
Wishing you a lovely, and slightly less hot, weekend.
