Dear Parents and Carers
It’s been a hot week but we have managed to find sufficient shade for the more limited periods we have been outside during the day. Water play has come into its own. We have ensured that the children have had plenty to drink — which can be a bit of a challenge for some.
We still have chrysalises so butterflies should appear next week (hopefully not over the weekend – I shall be checking on them in the morning!).
For next week we are off to the seaside and looking at how to stay safe there. Thursday is Sports Day and we very much hope that one parent/carer per family will be able to join us for the occasion. If you are bringing your son/daughter who does not normally attend on a Thursday, they will go home with you after the event. Thank you to everyone for responding so quickly to my WhatsApp on attendees.
In between all this our older children will be showing their skills on the cardinal principle; our September starters will be following multiple instructions; our January starters will be using language for describing textures; and our April starters will be joining a listening and attention activity.
For those looking ahead, our final day presentation will be take in the church sanctuary at Petts Wood Methodist Church (that’s the building which faces onto Queensway) at around 9.20-9.30. After this all children are welcome to stay for our party and the session will finish at midday for everyone. You may begin to hear some less familiar songs as we are beginning to practice for the event.
