Dear Parents and Carers

We have had a slightly shorter week but have still managed to pack plenty into it, including some more water play today which was much enjoyed by the children.

Now that our new website has gone live we would love some testimonials to put on to encourage other families to join PEL from September please – if you can email them either to me or to Ben we will add them to the website.  They can be anonymous on the site. Do please have a look – if there is anything you think we could add, please let me know.

Next week we will continue our theme of Numbers and Shapes with the Number 4 and squares.  If you would like to send your son/daughter in with anything to show which is square shaped, we would love to see it.  In addition our older children will be doing a phonics activity,

our September starters will be guessing what is in a wrapped gift by using touch, enhancing their descriptive language;  our Janary starters will be demonstrating their understanding of ‘how?’ and ‘why?’ questions and our April starters will be demonstrating their understandng of  ‘who?’, ‘what?’ and ‘where?’ questions.  For this latter activity it would be really great if you could upload a family photo to Tapestry please.

We are looking forward to seeing the parents of leavers and January/April starters on Wednesday.

I will be absent on Monday – my daughter is getting married on Sunday on the Kent coast – so please message Andrea for absences by text please.  I will be back in time to look at emails towards the end of the day.
